JOB DESCRIPTION
• Perform complex chemical, biological, haematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests, working within the scope of laboratory policies and procedures, contributing to positive outcomes and meeting the vision and cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behaviour and laboratory expertise.
• Identifying opportunities for and contributing to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction.
• Excellent ability to analyze test results and biochemical reactions;
• Identify microorganisms; interpret tests and quality control results; know principles of test systems.
• Proficient in observing safety reactions and understand laboratory procedures.
• Superb analytical ability and judgment in relating test results of normal or pathological states, resolve technical equipment problems, and interpret quality control data.
• Responsible in keeping accurate records of quality control, maintenance and workload data according to laboratory policies.
• Take part in proficiency testing of unknowns of internal and external standard.
• Participate in continuing education programs to keep up with the current developments in the field.
• Performed microbiological and related biological and bio-chemical examinations on clinical and environmental specimens for the detection and identification of parasitic/microbial agents of diseases.
• Evaluates reagents for use in testing.

• Helps in the maintenance of sanitation and upkeep of the laboratory equipment and facilities and the proper disinfection and disposal of laboratory wastes.
